Narky. Pattern & Proof (“Narky,” “we,” or “the service”) is designed to organize sensitive personal records. This policy explains what information the service handles, how it is used, and the rights and choices available to you.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, Narky may process incident notes, dates and timestamps, behavior categories, impact statements, witness or household-member names, parenting-time records, workplace-event records, checklist progress, photos, screenshots, PDFs, Word documents, text files, scanned statements, messages, records, and other supported documents you choose to upload. Narky does not currently accept audio or video uploads.
Account information
When you choose protected mode, Sign in with ChatGPT may provide a stable account identifier, email address, and optional display name. These details are used to keep your records associated with your account and are not used for advertising.
Demo and device storage
Demo entries, imported calendar details, household-member shortcuts, checklist progress in demo mode, and your cookie-notice choice may be stored in your browser’s local storage. Anyone with access to that browser profile may be able to view locally stored information. Clearing browser data may permanently remove it.
Protected records and media
Signed-in records are stored in hosted database and object-storage services. Narky may preserve server timestamps, audit activity, file metadata, and cryptographic fingerprints to support record integrity. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use a safe device and account practices appropriate to your situation.
Cookies
The service uses cookies that are necessary for authentication, security, and core operation. Narky does not currently use advertising cookies or sell personal information for targeted advertising.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the journal, display patterns, support parenting-time and workplace-event tracking, preserve uploaded evidence, create requested exports or read-only links, maintain security, process account administration, and troubleshoot service reliability.
Sharing and service providers
Narky does not make private journal content public by default. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers that host the site, authentication, databases, file storage, and billing. Content is shared with another person only when you create or provide a sharing link, download an export, or otherwise choose to disclose it, except when disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information, and to appeal or complain about how a request is handled. You may also withdraw optional consent or object to certain processing where applicable. These rights can be limited by law and may require identity verification. Narky does not sell personal information or use private journal content for targeted advertising.
Retention and control
Keep only information you need. You may stop using the service, clear demo data through your browser, avoid creating sharing links, and request available assistance with account data. Information may be retained when needed to provide the service, preserve security and audit history, comply with law, resolve disputes, or maintain records at your direction. A downloaded file is outside Narky’s control after it leaves the service. Do not rely on the website as the only copy of any record you must preserve.
Children’s information
The website may let an adult record parenting-time information involving children. Do not upload more information than is necessary, and do not permit a child to use the service independently. Follow applicable custody orders, privacy rules, and recording laws.
Safety and legal requests
If accessing the service could increase your risk, use the quick-conceal feature and consider a safer device. Narky is not an emergency service. Legal requirements vary by jurisdiction, and valid legal process may require disclosure of stored information.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
